Chino Grande, no relation to Ariana, is a Chino-Latino restaurant and karaoke saloon in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Similar to the polyglot flavors offered on the menu, the playful illustrations and design work draw inspiration from a diverse range of sources including but not limited to: nostalgic computer clip art, vintage signage, traditional printing methods, and the concept of Asian Cowboys. Fenty Beauty + Skin
Global pop superstar Rihanna famously hasn’t released a music album since 2016. She has, however, released many beloved beauty and skincare products through her eponymous lines: Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin. Every new product release comes with high-impact visuals delivered to screens large and small worldwide.
KVD Beauty
KVD Beauty rebranded in 2022. That refresh brought in a new narrative-driven visual voice that also takes cues from tattoo shop culture, traditional romance tropes, and timeless feminine codes.
Bloomingdale’s
Ah, Bloomingdale’s—a classic New York City retail establishment. A classic retail establishment calls for classic digital design deliverables. And for Bloomingdale’s, those came in the form of marketing emails, social media assets, editorial lookbook pages on their site, and web banners, all infused with that classic Bloomingdale’s vibe.
Dolls Kill
Dolls Kill is an e-commerce brand that encourages it’s customers to embrace their unique individuality through uninhibited fashion and style, whatever that means for you! The visuals reflect this madcap sensibility in every facet of the brand from email sends, to in-store events and customer engagements.
V Magazine
V Magazine is where culture meets fashion. It’s also where I experienced my first big girl job in an office, and my first summer in New York City. Under the Lead Designer and Art Director, I got to get my hands dirty (on an uncleaned pre-loved keyboard) and learned invaluable lessons about typography, designing editorial spreads, covers, website editorials, social media assets, conceptualizing photoshoots, print production and so much more. It was a deeply formative time, and the lessons I learned while there still inform my design process to this day.
Miscellaneous
My design antics are as varied and diverse as the state I grew up in (California famously). I’ve worked on projects like custom lettering a logo for an opera, to reworking a website for a major skincare brand, to making flyers for queer nightlife events. I also love to use my design skills to give back to my own communities whether it’s to my fellow Brooklynites, or to my Khmer universe near and far. ♡
